What Is Duct Cleaning?
Duct cleaning refers to the cleaning of various heating and cooling system components of forced air systems, including the supply and return air ducts and registers, grilles and diffusers, heat exchangers heating and cooling coils, condensate drain pans (drip pans), fan motor and fan housing, and the air handling unit housing.
If not properly installed, maintained, and operated, these components may become contaminated with particles of dust, pollen or other debris. If moisture is present, the potential for microbiological growth (e.g., mold) is increased and spores from such growth may be released into the home's living space. Some of these contaminants may cause allergic reactions or other symptoms in people if they are exposed to them.

Power Duct Cleaning with Big Windy
1: High velocity 41” fan, steel fan housing, 28,000 PSI yield strength.
2: Compressor 25 CFM, 200 PSI working pressure
3: 200 PSI is used to air wash each register or grille
4: Power vent cleaner, 15” cable with plastic bristles, this is run down each round heat line from inside the house toward the main duct.
5: A skipper is a ball with several holes drilled in the back of it, when the 200 PSI air pressure is applied the ball will travel up the duct blowing back the dust to the access hole that Big Windy has been attached to.
6: Power duct cleaner is a large plastic bristle brush that is used to clean the main duct, this tool is operated by air, also has a set of rollers that guild the system down the main duct.
GENERAL CLEANING WHEN WHITE & WILLIAMS ARRIVES:
Take all registers off will cover with newspaper, this will maximize the suction at one outlet at a time. Will go to the main duct & cut 10” access holes for our truck to connect to the system, will also block off other section of duct, by wrapper or inner tube, drill 1” holes for the skipper to go up each heat line.
Go back to each outlet & air wash grille/register, run the power vent cleaner down each outlet, go back to the duct & run the skipper up each line.
Take the poser duct cleaner & run up and down the main trunk, after this is done use the skipper to blow any remaining dust back to the access hole.
After all outlets have been cleaned the furnace will be cleaned, blower air washed.
1” plastic plugs will be put in each hole, access hole will be sealed with metal, screws & tape.
