Phillip, a service technician from White and Williams, fixed a problem related to condensate leaking from a exhaust pipe on my Trane furnace. He arrived at my house at the scheduled time and explained to me how he was going to fix the issue. Once the work was completed he reviewed with me what he had accomplished. Very professional. We got four estimates and White & Williams was about $600 cheaper than the next closest estimate. The other estimates didn’t not include wrapping the ducts with insulation. So, I probably saved about $1200. The install crew came on a Monday and removed the old oil furnace and started wrapping the ducts and installing 2 new vents and set the air handler. They came back on Tuesday to install the new duct work needed to make the new air handler work with my existing ducts. They installed the outside unit and new thermostat. The work they did wrapping the ducts looks really good, as does the whole installation. The electricians came and ran wire, installed a wiring box outside and wired it to my breaker box. On Wednesday the HVAC tech came and put Puron in the system, and tested the system for leaks and started the system. Overall they did an excellent job on my system, my parents system and the two systems our church had them install. - Thank you
White & Williams serviced my heat pump and thermostat when the heat quit working last winter. I called W&W because our heat couldn’t keep up overnight and sometimes not even during the day. When we woke up to a 62 degree home and my two month old daughter’s hands were icy cold, I knew I couldn't put the call off any longer. It was a Saturday during one of the coldest winters we’ve had in a while. I called and spoke to the repairman who showed up within a couple of hours. He was able to figure out that our heat strips had been disabled when the old homeowner installed a non-heat strip compliant thermostat prior to selling the house to us. He replaced the thermostat, re-enabled the heat strips and was able to get everything done within about an hour and a a half! He was very professional, albeit cold, and made sure he completed our job right...even though he had other jobs quickly lining up behind ours. The price was fair considering it was a weekend. The tech had to replace parts and he had to crawl around in our tiny crawl space for about an hour and a half. We have not had any further issues with the heat pump or thermostat. White & Williams checked system and charged with 2lbs of Freon. I called them in the morning, adn they came to my home in Candler the same day. Repairs were completed in less than an hour. I couldn’t ask for any better service. The service tech was friendly, prompt and professional. - Thanks
White & Williams installed two heat pump systems, air purifiers, one steam humidifier, removed old systems, rebuilt and resealed ducts, etc. It went well, as scheduled and priced as proposed. Everyone was professional and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves, and repaired cut interior phone line when discovered. They installed a condensate pump that was not originally thought to be necessary at no additional cost. These were top-of-the-line Bryant systems that are economically unjustifiable in the sense of time to pay off versus somewhat lower priced alternatives that they proposed, and the proposer made that clear, but we went with them for other reasons anyway. The price was lower than another HVAC company in Asheville (using similar Trane systems.) We have found White & Williams to be responsive when our old systems needed repairs and this installation went very smoothly. They supplied space heaters the one night we had one of our systems totally off.
I have used a few different companies in the area for my HVAC needs. I have called back only one - White & Williams. I can say that I have always felt fairly treated, never ripped off, which is a pretty big complement. They always provide the necessary work without trying to add on extra repairs or extra time. They also provide after hours calls (although it will cost you $$) and it is nice to know you have the option. I needed it when I came home on a Friday evening to no heat and below freezing weather outside. They came that evening and did the repairs as quickly as possible. Donny handles our zip code (usually) and is always professional and polite. Our air conditioning went out completely. I called White & Williams and they were able to send someone out within a few hours. When they were going to be a little later than the time they told me they called to let me know. The serviceman reported that it was a simple replacement of a capacitor. White & Williams removed our gas old furnace and installed a new one. They also installed return air ducts as well in our 2800 square foot home. They were great and they arrived on time. They completed the work within the time period allotted. They were so reasonably prices. When we got other estimates from different companies, there was one company that was three times more than their price and the other was almost double. I need to let White and Williams administration know how pleased I am with the installation and fine tuning of my recent Bryant air conditioning unit. Although I live in a duplex, they really treated me like the owners. Their concern with details and courtesy was unexpected, but fully appreciated. It went better than expected. I was afraid our 23-year old Carrier heat pump had died and would be facing a $5000 replacement cost. White & Williams returned our Friday night call quickly, but we decided to wait for service until Monday morning. They came fairly close to schedule, diagnosed the real problem, fixed it, and tested both heat pumps. Since both were operating at correct pressure, we didn't have to replace anything but the defective relay. They do high-quality work at a fair price, and are available for emergencies. - Thanks

Recently White and Williams installed air conditioning in my 1926 home. I was extremely pleased with the workmanship, the quality of the materials used and simply overwhelmed with the professional work that this crew delivered. Since I had no ductwork, the crew cut through plaster ceilings to put in vents and returns. The precision was like that of a surgeon. There was no mess or dust left after the extensive work. A while ago we had our furnace back puff throughout the house everything had damage for black smoke and that friendly black stuff. We had to replace our furnace so we called White & Williams. They did a great job, but said we needed to have our duct work cleaned, so we said ok. They can with Big Windy on the truck, when they cut a opening in the cool air return I about fell in the floor there was a five inch dust bunny living in there. the spent about three hours cleaning and blowing in every vent in the house I went from room to room in disbelief as what was living here besides us. These guys did a GREAT JOB. We had someone come out a year before with a Shop Vac. Boy that want happen again. This Fall was the first time that our gas furnace was serviced by White and Williams. We have now become your fans and future customers because of Terry Bradley, who in our eyes is a miracle worker.
